The Veronicas Sell Clothes, Guitar, and Witch Mirror on eBay

The Veronicas are generating additional income by auctioning off some of their personal belongings on eBay. Pop singers Lisa and Jessica Origliasso have listed numerous items, including clothing they have worn, with some priced barely above $50.

Items for Sale

The identical twin sisters have put up for sale a variety of items, ranging from a scarf to a guitar, a jacket, and even a scrying mirror used for witchcraft practices. Lisa sold her Alexander McQueen skull scarf for just $53.70, a trendy noughties item that was once the height of fashion.

'This iconic scarf was a signature staple in our wardrobe,' Lisa explained in her listing description. 'If this baby could speak it would tell a lot of stories of our early days on the road. This thing has blood sweat and tears all over it. It has been sitting untouched for a few years and deserves a new life in someone else's wardrobe,' she added.

Lisa, 41, additionally told Fashion Journal this week that she has fond memories of wearing the designer scarf. 'The McQueen scarf has literally been everywhere with me and has seen so much since I bought it back in 2006. It's been on tour, to LA house parties and late nights at Chateau Marmont – it's like a little time capsule of that era of my life. It was such a core part of our identity back then. It's one of those items that just holds that energy, like a snapshot of who we were in that moment.'

She also listed her custom-made 'reishi baby' bomber jacket, which also sold for just over $53. 'A favourite worn by my twin (and me when I would steal it from her). It is now ready for someone who treasures it as much as we do,' the listing read.

Jessica, 41, meanwhile, has her Fender guitar on sale, with bidding at $643.40 as of Tuesday evening. 'Well-loved, well-played and carrying plenty of music history in its strings,' she said of the guitar in the description.

The singer likewise listed her witches' scrying mirror, for which bidding had reached $200 on Tuesday. 'This 19th Century scryers mirror was purchased by my sister at a mysterious antique shop in London while songwriting. We were told it was used to see into the future by fortune tellers and whoever dared to look deeper. I'm selling it because I looked into the mirror and it told me it is no longer a part of a sister's future,' Jessica explained.

Reason for Selling

In explaining their decision to sell off their personal items, the sisters told Nine Honey that they have extensive collections of items gathered from around the world, and it was time to downsize. 'We have been avid collectors of a lot of different stuff over the years. We've been doing The Veronicas for 20 years, almost 21 years this year, and we've been lucky enough to travel the world in that 21 years. And we have collected so many things! We can finally review everything over the last 20 years, and maybe give some of these special items that we've collected, you know, a new life and a new home,' Jessica said.
