Strictly fans worried for Lawrence Robb after same statement

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left worried for Lawrence Robb as they issued the same statement following his latest performance in the dance competition. The Emmerdale star and his professional dance partner Jowita Przystal were among the 14 remaining couples who returned to the ballroom on Saturday night (October 10) for week three of the BBC One dance contest.

Following the first elimination of the series last weekend, the couples were keen to avoid the dreaded dance-off and second exit of the 2026 run in Sunday night's (October 11) results show. But there wasn't much change in the leaderboard this week, as Delta Doodrem was sitting at the top of the scoring for a second week running. After topping the leaderboard last week, the singer and her professional partner Kai Widdrington were given a score of 33 for their salsa.

Lawrence's Rumba and Judges' Comments

The actor was tasked with performing the first rumba of the season, to Back to Friends by Sombr. While praised for his storytelling during the moving performance, Shirley Ballas was quick to admit it "wasn't my cup of tea" and said she had given him an additional point for "hitting one nice line", in comments branded 'harsh' by viewers.

Strictly fans felt sorry for Lawrence and didn't think the comments were deserved, as they issued the same statement. @harry_shumjr said: "Lawrence is getting my vote tonight because you cannot blame bad choreography on the bloody celebrity #Strictly." @clt19 commented: "Do the judges forget that the PROFESSIONAL dancer is the one who choreographs the dances not the celebs! First we had Cach being told about his dance and now Lawrence! Speak to the pros and tell them to choreograph the dances correctly if you don’t think they’re right #strictly."

Fans Blame Choreography

@popboy84 shared: "That criticism of the content is a lot to do with the professional, as he learns the steps and routine he gets taught, so that can’t be all on Lawrence #strictly #strictlycomedancing #strictly2026." @JillHudson21 echoed: "You cannot blame Lawrence for the choreography #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing #SCD."

@kate_radiostrictly admitted: "Really wish Lawrence was getting more positive feedback from the judges!! Where was the praise for a Week 3 Rumba?" @jliddell58 shared: "Wonder why shirley always has to be so negative to Lawrence. She is hurting his confidence. That dance was beautiful. Keep it up Lawrence your doing great."

He's been done so dirty with a rumba in week 3 #strictly." @notjanpeteh added: "I really hope lawrence and jowita get another chance next week. i feel like the judges have been so hard on throughout the series and he definitely has more potential then her previous partners bar Hamza #strictly."
