Spice Girls Pay Tribute to Choreographer Paul Roberts, Who 'Radiated Happiness and Positivity'

The Spice Girls have paid tribute to choreographer Paul Roberts, who died aged 52 last week. In a social media post, the group described him as an 'integral part' of their 2019 reunion tour and said he 'radiated happiness and positivity'.

Roberts worked with Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel B and Mel C on the tour, which was their first in over a decade. The group said: 'His creativity, passion and joy for life was evident throughout our shows. As well as being incredibly talented, Paul was simply a wonderful person.'

Roberts' partner, Phil Griffin, confirmed his death at the weekend. In a statement, Griffin said: 'On the evening of 26th September 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer, Paul passed away gently at home, surrounded by his family. His departure, much like his life, was filled with grace.'

Over his 20-year career, Roberts also worked with One Direction, Katy Perry, and The Who's Pete Townshend. He spent five years as One Direction's staging director and was recently involved with Townshend's Quadrophenia ballet.

Fans paid tribute in the comments, with one writing: 'Thank you Paul for creating such amazing memories for all of us, you will be missed.'
