The final episode of Scottish detective drama Granite Harbour airs tonight, and the BBC has confirmed what will replace it next Friday.

The show, which debuted in 2022, returned for a third series two years after its second run in May 2024. The new series followed the disappearance of teenage café employee Lisa Sterling, who vanished into woodland near Richard Loughty's estate after a birthday party for Rose Gough, head of the local traveller community. Lisa's remains were found at the foot of a ravine the next morning, and what seemed like an accident was quickly established as murder.
The synopsis for tonight's episode, airing at 8pm on BBC iPlayer, reads: "As the case reaches a conclusion, Lindo and Bart face a race against time to find the real killer as long-held secrets are finally revealed."
BBC schedule replacement
The final episode, starring Romario Simpson as Lindo and Hannah Donaldson as Bart, runs from 8pm to 9pm. Next Friday, August 14, The One Show will air an hour-long episode to celebrate its 20th anniversary, followed by the European Athletics Championships from 8pm to 10pm.
The athletics event, held in Birmingham, will be presented by Gabby Logan. The synopsis reads: "Gabby Logan presents further coverage of the evening session on day five from Alexander Stadium. One of the most eagerly anticipated events of the championships brings the night to a close, with reigning champion Keely Hodgkinson of Great Britain, Dutch 400m world record-holder Femke Broeders-Bol, and rising Swiss star Audrey Werro all expected to be in women's 800m contention."
Finals also take place in the men's high jump, 400m hurdles and 200m, and the women's discus, with analysis from Jessica Ennis-Hill and Greg Rutherford, and commentary by Steve Cram, Steve Backley, Andrew Cotter, Colin Jackson and Paula Radcliffe.
