Scott Thomas Shares Dragonfly Sign at Jake Hall's Funeral

Scott Thomas was emotional as he shared a powerful message following the funeral of Jake Hall. The former TOWIE star died at the age of 35 in May. His sudden death in Majorca is still shrouded in mystery, an inquest has heard. But those close to the star recently gathered as he was laid to rest.

A Touching Moment at the Funeral

Scott shared a touching moment from the service that left many feeling as though the reality TV star was there with them. Sharing a story on Instagram, Scott said he believes in signs: "So I went to Jake Hall's funeral last week and it was a beautiful occasion, man. So many people turned out and it just showed the impact this guy had on so many people. His infectious energy, his lust for life and his creativity."

"But there was a moment at the end of the funeral after his brother Sonny spoke where we were all congregated outside and as soon as Sonny finished his speech, which was beautiful by the way, a dragonfly started circling around everybody outside."

The Dragonfly Story

Scott went on to explain how in Jake's funeral book there was a story about a dragonfly. He continued: "His brother Sonny has been talking about it so much recently about how Jake has turned into a dragonfly and evolved and gone to a better place and it's a beautiful story." He admitted everyone in the vicinity shared the "beautiful moment". "We all knew fully that there was no chance that that was just by chance that a dragonfly just started circling everyone."

While he knows people will shoot down the story, he said he knows exactly what it meant to him in that moment and revealed others felt the same way. He revealed the likes of Tom Grennan and Roxie Nafousi also felt the connection and saw the same thing.

Encouraging Others to Lean Into Signs

He then told people not to be scared to lean into such moments, no matter what other people might say. "Whatever it means to you is what's important," he said. "And I was lucky that day because I shared that experience with everybody. The more you lean into that life, the more things open up for you. And I think it's a time to reflect, a time to create and I just wanted to be a massive advocate of that."

He ended by thanking Jake for the impact he had on his life and for creating moments for others. "I love you, brother. Rest in peace."

Reactions and Wake

His message was praised by his followers, including Sonny who wrote: "Incredible. Lovely video mate x." Emily Atack also said: "That's a lovely message to spread," while Roxie called it "the most magical moment".

Jake's wake took place in Shoreditch, across three floors with guests moving through a curated experience spanning a fashion installation, a full art exhibition of Jake's original paintings, live performances and a club night. It was held at the independent music venue Unlocked Shoreditch, which is owned by Sonny. The night was planned to celebrate Jake's love of the creative world.
