Sabrina Carpenter Censors Tested During Grammys 'Manchild' Performance

Sabrina Carpenter turned the Grammy stage into an airport on Sunday, performing her hit 'Manchild' and testing broadcast censors with multiple F-words during the chorus. The singer descended from a carousel resembling an airplane at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena, accompanied by airport workers.

'Hey Grammys, how ya doing? It's your captain Sabrina speaking,' she told the crowd. 'If you came here tonight for a little validation, stand up and I want you to put your hands together!' At the end, she waved traffic wands before tossing them into the audience.

This marks Carpenter's second consecutive Grammy performance. In 2025, she debuted with a cheeky medley of 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please', complete with fake stage errors. Last year, she was a first-time nominee and won two Grammys: best pop solo performance for 'Espresso' and best pop vocal album for 'Short n' Sweet'.

This year, Carpenter was nominated in six categories. 'Manchild', the lead single from her album 'Man's Best Friend', received nods for record of the year, song of the year, best pop solo performance and best music video. 'Man's Best Friend' was also nominated for album of the year and best pop vocal album.

Carpenter has been touring since 2022, with her 'Short n' Sweet' tour wrapping in November 2025 after six nights at Crypto.com Arena. She is next scheduled to headline both weekends of Coachella 2026 in April.
