Rylan Clark Begs 'Don't Do That to Me' as Partner's Stag Do Called 'a Test'
Rylan Clark Begs 'Don't Do That to Me' Over Partner's Stag Do

Rylan Clark begged 'don't do that to me' after his co-host suggested his boyfriend Kennedy Bates' stag do was a test. The radio presenter and former X Factor contestant spoke openly about his personal life on BBC Radio 2 on June 13th.

Rylan's Candid Comments

Speaking with Sally Boazman after her traffic bulletin, Rylan was asked about his plans for the evening. He replied: 'Nothing, little bit of dinner, quiet night. My cousin Kimberley's staying at mine at the moment because her house ain't finished. I just love having people round because the boy's not here at the minute. He's on a stag do, so it's like the first time.'

Sally responded: 'Oh this is a test isn't it?' To which Rylan replied: 'It's not a test, don't do that to me.' Sally clarified: 'I mean it's a test for your own emotional wellbeing.'

Missing His Partner

Rylan then shared his feelings: 'It is. I just miss him. I just miss him, but it's strange because obviously where he is. The time difference is quite vast. So, I'm waking up every morning and he's still on a night out. It's awful but...'

Sally said: 'So you're constantly waiting for a text.' Rylan joked: 'Oh I am like woman possessed. No. No, I'm all good. He's having a lovely time, and that's what I wanted him to do. I wanted him to go and have a great time.'

Sally then replied: 'I mean it's quite nice I think to miss somebody because then you kind of realise that you really miss them.' Rylan explained he was going to pick up his boyfriend from the airport at seven o'clock in the morning.

Friendship with Rob Rinder

Outside of romantic relationships, Rylan has a strong platonic friendship with television presenter Rob Rinder. The pair have travelled the world making travel programmes for the BBC, leading to a strong on-screen dynamic.

Rob, 48, discussed that dynamic on This Morning with Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley. Cat said: 'One of my favourite shows is when you and Rylan go off on your travels together. I love the funny bits, I love the sad bits, I love the bits when you're floating down the River Ganges talking about life. It's a dream job!'

Rob responded: 'It is an exquisitely dream job, to do it with someone who is so intelligent and who I genuinely, in a very benign way, let me be clear, in a platonic way, love. The whole point of it is that we learnt from each other and there's no big hierarchy of art or culture. If you delight in something, you should not only enjoy it yourself, but also bring as many people into it as well.'
