Robbie Williams Opens Up About Parents' Health Struggles

Robbie Williams has admitted he is struggling to cope with his parents' ill health. The 50-year-old singer revealed last month that his mother Janet has been diagnosed with dementia, while his father Pete is living with Parkinson's disease.

Speaking about the situation, Robbie said: "The truth is that I'm very busy and I'm not dealing with the situation as I should. I don't really know how to do it, it's an incredibly complicated thing." He added that he prefers not to go into details, as his parents might read about it and ask questions.

In November, Robbie spoke publicly for the first time about his mother's dementia while promoting his new film Better Man, which depicts his relationship with his late grandmother, who also had dementia. He said: "My mum's currently got dementia - like my nan in the film - and my dad's got Parkinson's and can't get out of bed. So I'm in a different part of my life right now."

In a separate interview with Vanity Fair Italy, Robbie described marrying his wife Ayda as the biggest gamble of his life, citing concerns about infidelity and losing half his fortune. He said: "I couldn't keep my p*nis in my pants... Getting married was more or less a way of embracing a monogamous lifestyle."

Robbie first spoke about his father's Parkinson's diagnosis in 2020 during the Covid lockdown, noting the difficulty of being unable to visit him due to distance.
