Princess Beatrice has announced a new business venture, taking a director role and 45 percent stake in Purpose Economy Intelligence Ltd, a newly established company. The firm, registered at Companies House, focuses on software development, IT services, and management consultancy.
The royal, who turned 37 recently, is joined by Luis Alvarado Martinez, a Spanish-born executive at the World Economic Forum since 2021, who also holds a 45 percent share. The third shareholder is Olivia Horsley, Beatrice's long-serving private secretary, who is not listed as a director.
Beatrice, a mother of two and stepmother to one, balances her commercial work with charitable patronages. She recently became patron of Borne, a charity tackling premature birth, after her daughter Athena was born prematurely in January. Unlike some royals, Beatrice does not receive public funding via the Sovereign Grant and pursues private-sector roles alongside her duties.
Her sister, Princess Eugenie, also balances a private career in the art field with selected patronages.
