Piers Morgan stepped out with his lookalike son Spencer this week, hours before hitting back at Prince Harry with two blunt words. The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 61, attended the VIP launch of LaCage, a Montreal sports bar opening its first London location on Kensington High Street.
The event also drew stars including Celebrity MasterChef's Big Zulu and rugby icon Kenny Logan. Piers wore his usual smart blazer with an open white shirt, while Spencer opted for a more casual charcoal grey jacket over a black T-shirt.
Father and son watch Arsenal together
The pair watched the Arsenal match on the big screen at the venue, dining on cocktails and canapés alongside the Delegate of Québec and more than 100 guests who flew in from Canada for the celebrations.
Piers has three sons – Spencer, Stanley and Albert – from his first marriage to Marion Shalloe. He also shares a daughter, Elise, with his current wife Celia Walden.
Spencer's inheritance deal
Spencer has previously revealed what would get him removed from his father's will. He told The Sun that if he does “any reality TV”, he will be cut out of receiving any inheritance. Spencer said: “It's always the deal. I have to make the right choice on that one.”
That means he has turned down offers to appear on shows from SAS: Who Dares Wins to Love Island, which he said he was “in talks” for.
Piers brands Harry a 'flame-thrower'
This week, Piers hit out at Prince Harry again after the Duke of Sussex told GQ he wants to repair his fractured relationships with King Charles and Prince William. Harry said: “Some people don't want it to work out. I want it to work out. With everything else that's going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile - that's the key point.
“Scars stick around forever. But what your perception is, and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, letting go of the past, that's something that I would encourage everybody to do.”
In response, Piers branded the prince a “flame-thrower”, tweeting: “Flame-thrower wants to make peace with the people whose houses he torched and is baffled they're not interested…”
