Singer Peter Andre has shared a shocking story of an on-stage incident where a heavily intoxicated fan accidentally kicked a microphone into his mouth, chipping his teeth and leaving him in need of urgent dental treatment.
The Painful On-Stage Accident
In a video shared from the passenger seat of a car, the 'Mysterious Girl' hitmaker explained the bizarre chain of events to his followers. Andre, 52, described how he often invites audience members on stage during his performances. On this particular night, one fan who had 'had a few too many to drink' joined him.
The situation turned painful when the over-enthusiastic fan lifted their leg for a playful kick, but instead struck the microphone. The microphone was propelled straight into Peter Andre's tooth, causing significant damage. "The mic went straight into my tooth and chipped it badly," Andre recounted. "I was in absolute pain, caused a few chips actually - talk about a kick in the teeth."
Family Comes to the Rescue for Dental Repair
Fortunately for the father-of-five, help was close at hand within his own family. Andre's wife, NHS doctor Emily MacDonagh, has a brother named Tom who runs an aesthetics clinic offering private cosmetic dentistry under the name DentaQuest.
Andre promptly visited his brother-in-law's clinic for treatment. He proudly showed off the results to his camera, stating: "Look what they've done. Just put my original teeth back to normal. Look! Oh I'm so happy. No chips, or potatoes in general." His wife Emily was also involved, filming content for the dental clinic's Instagram account.
Andre Opens Up on Fatherhood and Parental Fears
Separately, in his recent column for new! magazine, the singer reflected on his life as a parent. He responded to comments from actor George Clooney about having children later in life, stating: "I felt at the right age to start having children." The singer, who is now "done" having kids, shares three children with Emily: Millie, 11, Theo, nine, and 21-month-old Belle. He also has two older children, Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, with his ex-wife Katie Price.
In his weekly OK! column, Andre also addressed every parent's nightmare, speaking about the "biggest fear" of children being introduced to drugs. He referenced the heartbreaking suspected drug-related death of 11-year-old Olivia Curley in November. "It’s devastating as a parent to even hear the possibility of it," he wrote. "And in this case, someone’s life was lost – and someone so heartbreakingly young." He emphasised how impressionable young people can be to peer pressure.
