Robert Pattinson has revealed that Zendaya helped calm him down while filming a scene for their upcoming movie The Drama. The film, written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, follows a couple whose relationship takes an unexpected turn just before their wedding day.
In an interview with Premiere (via IndieWire), Pattinson said he went 'crazy' analysing certain scenes from the script, prompting him to call his co-star for reassurance. 'I was desperately looking for its meaning, writing pages and pages of textual analysis,' he recalled. 'I ended up calling Zendaya the night before shooting the scene. I shared my doubts with her, I spoke for two hours, and after a while, very calmly, she made me understand that the line just said what it meant to say, that there was no hidden meaning. And there I was going crazy for three days.'
Pattinson, who currently stars in Mickey 17, also discussed another upcoming project, Die, My Love, a marital drama co-starring Jennifer Lawrence. He admitted to feeling anxious about a dance scene, saying, 'I was like, “I'm going to have a mental breakdown when this happens. We need to either choreograph it or cut it.”' He added that Lawrence and director Lynne Ramsay found it easy, telling him to 'just dance.'
Neither The Drama nor Die, My Love have confirmed release dates. Mickey 17 is currently in cinemas.
