GMB hosts reveal Prince Harry faces six terrorist plots

Good Morning Britain hosts Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray shared a bombshell update on Prince Harry during the July 2 programme, revealing that the Duke of Sussex faces threats from six terrorist plots, five of which originate from the UK. The disclosure comes from a classified risk assessment compiled by the Sussexes' private security firm and submitted to the RAVEC Committee in February.

Security Report Details

Ranvir Singh described the document as "highly sensitive," detailing potential attacks facing the couple. Adil Ray added that the report argues Harry's own protection officers are prevented from adequately responding to an armed attack in the UK. ITV's Royal Editor, Chris Ship, outlined threats including an al-Qaeda document calling for Harry's assassination.

The report was submitted to the RAVEC Committee, which decides which prominent politicians and Royal Family members receive Home Office-funded police protection. Chris Ship noted that King Charles, who was in Scotland this week, has not seen his grandchildren since summer 2022, but Buckingham Palace states security matters are for the Home Office and the King cannot intervene.

Upcoming Visit and Denied Protection

The Sussexes are due in the UK to mark the countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games, but reports claim Meghan Markle and the children may stay in California after Harry's request for police protection during the trip was denied. Chris Ship said Harry was promised a review of his security that hasn't happened, and his argument is: "This is what happens when I'm in the UK."

Chris Ship contrasted Harry's treatment abroad, noting that in Ukraine, he received full protection from President Zelensky's office, while in the UK next week, he will only get a police liaison officer's phone number. "You can't really square that circle very well," Ship said.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am.
