Neve Campbell: Prince Harry Had My Poster on His Wall

Neve Campbell Discloses Prince Harry's Childhood Crush Admission

Hollywood star Neve Campbell has revealed an unexpected personal anecdote involving Prince Harry, disclosing that the Duke of Sussex once told her he had a poster of her on his wall during his childhood. The Canadian actress, best known for her role as Sidney Prescott in the iconic Scream horror franchise, described the confession as "a little awkward" during her appearance on ITV's The Jonathan Ross Show.

An Unexpected Party Encounter

Campbell recounted meeting Prince Harry at a friend's birthday party, where she initially didn't recognize him. "I went to a friend's birthday party and someone said, 'There's Harry.' I said, 'Harry who?' They responded, 'Prince Harry,'" she explained to host Jonathan Ross. The actress then detailed their conversation, which took an unexpected turn when Harry made his childhood admiration known.

"We did have a chat. He told me that he had a poster of me on his wall when he was a child," Campbell shared, adding her immediate reaction: "That's a little awkward. I don't know if that was a line. It could have been a line."

A Dance and Subsequent Meeting

Despite the initial awkwardness, Campbell described Prince Harry as "lovely" and revealed they shared a dance together at the party. "We had a dance, we had a nice time. We didn't exchange numbers or anything," she clarified, emphasizing the casual nature of their interaction.

The actress later encountered Prince Harry again at a charity event, where their conversation took a more serious tone. "He started talking about his grandmother and we were chatting and then I realized who he was talking about and it was very odd," Campbell recalled, referring to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Scream 7 and Sidney Prescott's Return

During the same television appearance, Campbell discussed her return to the horror franchise with Scream 7, which marks the 30th anniversary of the original film's 1996 release. "When they came to me about this one, they said they wanted to come back to Sidney Prescott and see where she is at in this journey in her life," she explained.

The actress detailed her character's development: "She's a mother, a teen daughter. It's been very brave of her to decide to have a family considering what happens to most of the people in her life. Her worst nightmare is that Ghostface would come and harm her family and, of course, it's a Scream movie so that's exactly what happens."

Campbell praised her co-star Isabel May, who plays her daughter in the film, calling her "fantastic." She also noted the studio's secretive approach: "They won't let anyone see it until the actual day. It's great. It's really good."
