Molly Sims, the 52-year-old actress and model, showcased her remarkably slender figure in a vibrant new Instagram post shared on Friday. The Kentucky native was photographed wearing a colorful string bikini during an idyllic family vacation in the tropics with her children and her husband, Netflix executive Scott Stuber.
Stunning Tropical Getaway
In the captivating selfie, Sims modeled the cute swimsuit while accessorizing with trendy heart-pendant gold necklaces and a pair of chic green sunglasses. She captioned the post with, 'Life lately ????️???????? … I needed this ????????????????????????.' The images also captured the Vegas actress leaping energetically off her yacht into the ocean, pointing her toes and keeping her arms close to her sides as she plunged into the cool blue waters where playful porpoises were spotted.
Recent Sports Illustrated Feature
This tropical display comes shortly after Sims revealed her very toned physique in bikinis for the upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, set for release in May 2026. The prestigious shoot, photographed by James Macari, also featured notable personalities including Baywatch actress Brooks Nader, reality TV star Bethenny Frankel from The Real Housewives Of New York, model and influencer Haley Kalil (also known as Haley Baylee), and Canadian model, editor, and entrepreneur Lauren Chan, founder of the plus-size clothing brand Henning.
Defying Age Stereotypes
Sims has been vocal about her perspective on aging, expressing frustration with being told she 'looks good for 50.' Celebrating her landmark birthday in May 2023, the star insists she doesn't worry excessively about her age, focusing instead on looking her personal best. Molly told Us Weekly: 'I think it's just a mindset. I hate when people are like, "Oh, my God. She looks good for 50." Listen, I'm not trying to look 30. I'm definitely not trying to look 20. I am trying to look the best that I can.'
Skincare Philosophy and Brand Vision
In 2023, Sims founded her skincare brand, YSE Beauty, aiming to reflect her positive outlook on life. She explained her motivation, stating she doesn't want to be targeted with age-related pity or spoken to condescendingly. Sims elaborated: 'I wanted something easy because as a mom, I don't have a lot of time for downtime. If I did, I would be in my closet drinking, but I don't have time. So for me, that's how YSE came about. I said, "What can we do in a very short amount of time in a very efficacious way?"'
Reflections on Aging and Modeling
Despite her confident appearance, Sims has admitted that aging can be challenging. She also reflected on her younger years, wishing she had felt as good as she looked back then. Sims shared with SheKnows: 'Listen, is it hard to age? It is. It's hard. I think the biggest thing is I look back and wish I would have felt as good as I looked. I was recently with someone who's modelling a little bit, and you just see the struggle of never feeling like you look great because you're always being criticized or looked at.'
The actress is believed to be vacationing in Mexico, a favorite family destination, where earlier in the week she was seen modeling a red-and-white bikini, further highlighting her dedication to fitness and wellness amidst a busy lifestyle.
