Mickey Rourke Faces £44K Eviction in LA After CBB Scandal
Mickey Rourke 'facing eviction' over £44K unpaid rent

Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke is reportedly on the brink of being evicted from his Los Angeles rental property, with claims he has fallen nearly £44,000 behind on his rent. This financial blow comes just months after the 73-year-old was removed from the UK's Celebrity Big Brother house for a series of offensive remarks.

Legal Notice Posted at LA Home

According to reports, Rourke has been renting a three-bedroom Spanish-style bungalow just south of West Hollywood since April 2025. The landlord, named as Eric Goldie, has allegedly taken legal action after the star failed to make payments. An eviction notice was reportedly posted on the property on December 18, 2025, ordering Rourke to pay the overdue sum within three days or vacate the premises.

It is understood the notice was not complied with, meaning the case is now likely to proceed to court. The property in question had previously been pictured with an overgrown garden and a run-down appearance, hinting at the star's recent troubles.

Controversial CBB Exit and Financial Fallout

This housing crisis follows Rourke's dramatic and early exit from the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier in 2025. The Oscar-nominated actor was removed by ITV bosses after less than a week for 'use of inappropriate language' and 'instances of unacceptable behaviour'.

His time in the house was marred by controversy, including making homophobic remarks to singer and dancer JoJo Siwa, to whom he said: "If I stay longer than four days, you won't be gay anymore." He also used sexual language towards TOWIE's Ella Rae Wise and had a heated altercation with Love Island's Chris Hughes.

Following his removal, Rourke issued a public apology, stating: "I stepped over the line and I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing... I'm ashamed of myself." However, the consequences were financial as well as reputational. Reports suggest his rumoured £500,000 appearance fee was slashed because he did not complete the series, leaving him short of cash.

A Star's Troubled Trajectory

The actor, best known for his BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning role in The Wrestler and parts in films like Sin City and Iron Man 2, has kept a low profile since fleeing the UK after the show. He was pictured looking unrecognisable with grey hair while receiving a food delivery in August.

The twin scandals of his reality TV behaviour and his current housing plight paint a picture of a Hollywood veteran facing significant personal and professional challenges. With a court case now looming over the £44,000 in unpaid rent, Rourke's troubles appear to be mounting as the new year begins.
