Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger celebrated his 82nd birthday with a lavish party in London last night, attended by a host of celebrities including his ex-wife Jerry Hall and bandmate Ronnie Wood. The evening began with a private dinner at Kensington Roof Gardens before the group moved to The Rex Rooms nightclub in Chelsea, arriving in style on party buses.
Jagger was joined by his fiancée Melanie Hamrick, who stuck out her tongue playfully for photographers as they left the venue hand in hand. The couple were all smiles, with Jagger wearing a black suit and white shirt while Hamrick dazzled in a black mini dress and stilettos.
Among the guests were Jagger's daughters Georgia May Jagger and Elizabeth Jagger, as well as their mother Jerry Hall. The trio looked elegant in black dresses as they entered the venue. Ronnie Wood attended with his wife Sally Humphreys Wood, carrying a red gift bag with 'Happy Birthday' written on it.
The party coincided with the afterparty of an Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium, and while none of the Britpop band members attended, Liam Gallagher's sons Gene and Lennon Gallagher were spotted at the bash. Other notable attendees included Daphne Guinness, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jimmy Carr, and Mariella Frostrup.
Police were reportedly called at one point due to an altercation outside involving security, but the party continued until 4am. The event comes amid reports that the Rolling Stones are working on a new album, their 25th studio release, after spending time in Metropolis Studios in London since April.
