Romance rumours between Celebrity Traitors stars Maya Jama and King Kenny have been dismissed by a source, who says the YouTuber slept on the broadcaster's sofa at her north London home this week.
The pair, who both played Traitors on the show, were friends before appearing and have been seen together recently, sparking speculation. However, an insider told The Sun on Sunday: "Maya and Kenny are just friends. There is nothing romantic between them. Kenny has been firmly on the sofa this week and the pair find it hilarious that their relationship could be anything else."
Friendship and Bonding
The source added that Kenny has been visiting Maya's home to spend time with friends staying with the TV presenter. The insider said the pair "are genuinely really good friends" and built "a stronger bond" by starring on The Celebrity Traitors together. Maya, 32, is single and currently focusing on work and spending time with friends, according to the source.
Earlier this year, Maya split from Manchester City footballer Rúben Dias after 18 months together. The couple began dating around late 2024 and lived together in Cheshire.
Past Relationships and Public Status
Recently, Maya shut down rumours of a reconciliation with her ex-boyfriend Stormzy, clarifying they are just friends. The former couple first dated for five years before splitting in 2019, then briefly rekindled in 2023 before confirming a permanent breakup in July 2024.
Kenny, who has kept his romantic life out of the public eye, is also single. The Beta Squad content creator has never publicly confirmed a girlfriend or shared relationship details on his social platforms.
Finale Drama and Outcome
During the final of The Celebrity Traitors, which aired on Friday, October 30, Kenny turned against Maya at the final roundtable, casting a crucial vote that led to her banishment. In post-finale interviews, Maya said she "loves Kenny to bits" and wasn't deeply hurt because he "didn't really have much of a choice" under the pressure.
Despite turning against Maya, Kenny failed to secure the win as remaining contestants eliminated him too. With both final Traitors out, Faithfuls Sebastian Croft and Romesh Ranganathan won, splitting the £83,000 prize pot for their respective charities. The Mirror has approached Maya Jama's representatives for comment.
