Married At First Sight UK fans were left furious after popular star Emma Barnes was absent from the reunion episode aired on Monday night. The 32-year-old revealed she was uninvited from the 2025 reunion just a day before filming.
Speaking about her exclusion, Emma told Yahoo UK: 'They didn't need me anymore. I still don't know why I was cut. There were some storylines that they wanted to follow, the producers, and yeah, someone must have taken my seat, right, so someone got called up to get back on there. But yeah, not me.'
Despite missing the reunion, Emma stayed in the loop via the cast WhatsApp group. She described herself as 'Auntie Emma', saying: 'I'm there for the girls, I'm often the first person people call up... I love the drama, stirring the pot... I think me being there, especially with the mix of the old cast and the new cast, I'd have just been on fire.'
Emma also revealed how she broke production rules to stay in touch with family. She told OK! magazine that she borrowed strangers' phones to call her sister and downloaded the game Hay Day to send secret messages, calling it 'Farm At First Sight'.
Earlier in the series, Emma discovered new arrivals by noticing six new phone numbers on her production phone. She gathered with other cast members to call the numbers, though the stunt did not go down well with producers.
