The American actor, best known for portraying Kayce Dutton in the acclaimed drama, has announced the release of his second country music album.

Grimes' Dual Career Paths Continue to Thrive

Following the dramatic conclusion of Yellowstone's fifth and final season, Grimes is set to reprise his role as Kayce Dutton in the upcoming spin-off series Marshals, scheduled to premiere in March. This highly anticipated CBS and Paramount+ production will follow the complex hero as he joins an elite team of US marshals combating crime across Montana while balancing demanding family responsibilities.

However, before the Yellowstone franchise makes its long-awaited return to screens in less than a month, Grimes has shared significant news with his fans regarding his parallel music career.

New Album Announcement and Fan Reactions

Taking to Instagram, Grimes announced to his 1.2 million followers that his new album "Redbird" will be available from Friday, 3rd April. He posted a photograph of himself playing guitar alongside the album cover, writing in the caption: "I'm excited to finally announce that my new album 'Redbird' will be coming out on April 3rd. The first song we are releasing 'Love You Now' is out today on all platforms. More coming very soon!"

Redbird represents Grimes' second album as a country musician following his self-titled debut release in 2024. Fans who have followed his portrayal of Kayce Dutton through five seasons of Yellowstone expressed enthusiastic support for his musical endeavors.

Viewers are additionally anticipating the release of The Dutton Ranch, which will feature Kelly Reilly returning as Kayce's sister Beth alongside her husband Rip Wheeler, played by Cole Hauser. While this spin-off does not yet have a confirmed release date, it is expected to premiere at some point during 2026.
