La Voix and Chris Robshaw join Strictly 2024

The glitterball trophy is already calling as Strictly Come Dancing unveils two more dazzling contestants for its 2024 series. RuPaul's Drag Race UK sensation La Voix and former England rugby union captain Chris Robshaw have officially joined the lineup, bringing an electrifying mix of showmanship and sporting prowess to the BBC's flagship dance competition.

From Drag Queen to Dance Floor Queen

La Voix, whose real name is Jamie Tabberer, rose to fame on the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2019. Known for their razor-sharp wit and flamboyant performances, the drag superstar is expected to bring serious entertainment value to the Strictly ballroom. "I've spent years perfecting the art of lip-syncing," La Voix joked, "now it's time to learn some actual dance moves!"

Rugby Hero Trades Tackles for Tangos

Chris Robshaw, who earned 66 caps for England and captained the national team from 2012 to 2015, will be swapping his rugby boots for dancing shoes. The 37-year-old sportsman admitted he's "terrified but excited" about the challenge ahead. "I'm used to physical contact," Robshaw quipped, "but I'm not sure my rugby tackles will count as proper dance technique."

What to Expect This Series

The new series of Strictly Come Dancing is set to premiere in September on BBC One, with the full celebrity lineup expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Bookmakers are already taking bets on who might lift the glitterball trophy, with La Voix currently among the early favourites.
