Katie Price is reportedly ‘delighted’ after her 2017 single ‘I Got U’ soared to the top of the iTunes dance chart, fuelled by fan support amid her ongoing row with ex-husband Peter Andre.
A source told The Mirror that the 47-year-old sees the chart success as ‘revenge’ following recent drama with her exes. ‘She won’t go quietly where the haters are concerned,’ the source said, adding that the support has lifted her spirits after feeling ‘painted as the bad guy’.
Price took to TikTok last weekend to thank her 1.7 million followers, saying: ‘Wow, never, ever, ever, ever, ever, in a million years, did I think I’d be experiencing the fact that my song is number one. My childhood dream today has come true.’
The chart success comes after Peter Andre issued a statement accusing Price of ‘repeated lies’ over 16 years, referencing court cases in 2011 and 2015 where she was ordered to pay damages. The pair, who met on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2004, split in 2009 and share two children, Junior and Princess.
