Katie Price has reportedly realised that her marriage to Lee Andrews is over, just months after a whirlwind romance that saw them engaged hours after meeting in person. The 48-year-old former glamour model is said to be 'in pieces' following her husband's imprisonment in Dubai, with sources claiming she is heading for divorce once again.
Andrews, who is being held at Al Awir prison over a 'private civil matter', was due to appear in the UK last month but failed to arrive. Katie initially denied reports of his detention but later confirmed he was behind bars. A source told the Daily Mail: 'Katie is in pieces. To the outside world, she wants to keep up the bravado. But inside she can't believe how Lee has made her look.'
The couple's relationship has caused a rift with Katie's family, who have never met or spoken to Andrews. Her sister Sophie is said to be 'fuming' and warned Katie not to travel to Dubai, but the advice 'landed on deaf ears'. The source added: 'They are really sick of the situation with Lee now. They have never been introduced or spoken to him and have told Katie they never want to.'
Katie, who is currently in Dubai, has been unable to visit her husband in prison. In a Facebook video, she said: 'Time is running out. I'm absolutely knackered. I still need to hear back from his lawyer if I can get a visit to see him.' She also addressed her dramatic weight loss, saying: 'I'm so stressed at the minute. I actually look like a skeletal. Life in general is stressed, but I'm good. Obviously it takes a toll on your body.'
