Katie Price has been left 'distraught' after her husband Lee Andrews failed to show up for their planned joint interview on Good Morning Britain earlier this week, with friends claiming she is now weighing up all options, including a split.
The 47-year-old former glamour model has stood by her husband throughout their whirlwind romance, but sources say his no-show for their first joint television appearance on Tuesday has caused her to seriously reconsider their future together.
'Lee has finally shown his true colours with the ITV interview this week,' a source close to Katie told us. 'This is the ultimate letdown.' The source added that Katie has been loyal to self-proclaimed businessman Lee, 43, throughout their brief marriage. 'She feels incredibly let down and super embarrassed. She's at a really low point.'
Katie and Lee married in Dubai in January after knowing each other for just one week, following her split from boyfriend JJ Slater weeks earlier. The reality star, who has removed her wedding ring, has been married three times before.
Lee was due to fly to the UK to appear with Katie on GMB but failed to get on the flight. He later posted footage claiming to be at Muscat airport in Oman, but viewers identified the location as Dubai airport, and he was pictured in a public area before check-in desks, not even through security. The source added: 'It's got to that level where Katie's thinking, this is just absolute dire drivel.'
Lee is thought to be unable to leave Dubai after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend's signature to secure a £200,000 loan, which he has strongly denied. He is also reported to have spent three weeks in jail last year for allegedly obtaining funds by deception. As a British citizen who married in Dubai, Katie could file for divorce through the English courts without needing to return to Dubai.
