Baroness Karren Brady Shares Glamorous Behind-the-Scenes Apprentice Moments
Baroness Karren Brady delighted her followers on Friday by posting a series of glamorous behind-the-scenes Instagram snaps from her time filming The Apprentice in Hong Kong. The 56-year-old businesswoman, who returned to screens in the premiere episode of the show's twentieth series on Thursday, showcased her filter-free complexion and impeccable style in the candid photographs.
Natural Beauty and Stylish Ensembles on Display
After displaying her natural looks during the broadcast, Karren treated her social media audience to picture-perfect snaps that captured the excitement of the Hong Kong filming location. In one particularly striking image, the Baroness looked stunning in high-waist white trousers paired with a pale green blouse as she posed alongside fellow advisor Tim Campbell and the show's iconic star, Lord Alan Sugar.
The popular BBC programme made its highly anticipated return to television screens this week, introducing a fresh cohort of ambitious candidates all vying for the prestigious opportunity to become Lord Sugar's next business partner. Yet amidst the chaotic business challenges and dramatic boardroom confrontations, Karren's noticeable physical transformation commanded almost as much attention as the contestants' entrepreneurial endeavours.
Addressing Weight Loss Speculation and Fitness Philosophy
The House of Lords member has recently found herself addressing persistent speculation about her dramatic body transformation, firmly denying rumours that weight loss injections played any role in her changed appearance. In a recent interview with The Sun, Karren insisted that her results were achieved through traditional methods - maintaining a controlled diet and committing to regular exercise routines.
"I'm not on Ozempic, but questions about women's weight come up far more often than they should," she stated emphatically. "I'd much prefer the conversation to be focused around my work."
Karren expressed frustration with what she perceives as unnecessary scrutiny of women's bodies, suggesting that such inquiries often represent "an effort to belittle them or make them feel insecure." She reflected on her personal experience with body commentary, noting: "I've been called too fat, too thin and everything in between. I've had a lifetime of it. All I want is to feel strong, physically and mentally."
Fitness Routine and Lifestyle Changes
The businesswoman, who serves as vice chairman of West Ham United, revealed that she typically loses approximately five kilograms before each Apprentice launch to ensure she appears at her normal weight on screen. She humorously noted that this preparation helps her avoid looking "huge next to Alan [Sugar] as he's so fit and healthy."
Interestingly, Karren credits Lord Sugar with being something of a health inspiration, describing him as "very fit" and noting that he and her husband often cycle together during holidays. "He is super fit himself, so if anyone is giving tips, it is him to me," she admitted, recalling a memorable trip around Italy on Lord Sugar's boat.
As a regular gym-goer and mother of two, Karren has developed a disciplined approach to maintaining her fitness amidst a demanding schedule that includes her business responsibilities and parliamentary duties in the House of Lords. "You have to find the time to go, particularly as you get older," she explained, detailing her routine of cardiovascular exercise, weight training, and occasional swimming sessions three to four times weekly.
Grandmotherhood as Motivation
The businesswoman recently disclosed that her renewed commitment to health and fitness was significantly motivated by becoming a grandmother. Her daughter, Sophia Peschisolido, welcomed two sons - Leo, aged 22 months, and George, just four months old - inspiring Karren to prioritise her wellbeing.
"I have been on a health kick, I became a grandma, and I wanted to be a fit, healthy grandma," she shared, explaining how this new chapter in her life prompted her to adopt healthier eating habits and consistent exercise. "I haven't joined [the Ozempic Club] - bloody hard work. It is okay losing it, it is keeping it off."
While Karren doesn't monitor her progress through regular weigh-ins, she confidently stated: "I feel better for it. It is good because everything you put on fits." Her journey represents a testament to dedication and traditional methods of health management, offering inspiration to those seeking sustainable lifestyle changes.
