Colombian music sensation Karol G has received a stern warning that she risks losing her US visa if she speaks out on contentious political topics during her headline slot at the Coachella Festival this weekend. This development comes as she prepares to make history by becoming the first Latina artist to top the bill at the iconic California event, sharing the stage with stars like Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carpenter.
Strict Conditions for Festival Headliner
In a revealing interview with Playboy, where she graces the cover, Karol G disclosed that she has been advised to maintain neutrality throughout her performances to avoid severe repercussions. The 35-year-old singer, known for hits such as Pineapple and Mi Cama, expressed a strong desire to use her platform to highlight inequalities in the United States, including issues related to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). However, she has been cautioned that such actions could lead to her visa being revoked.
Karol explained, "People will say, 'It's better you don’t… Because if you say the thing, maybe the next day you'll get a call: 'Hey, we are taking your visa away'. You become bait because some people want to show their power." She humorously noted that her team would "kill her" if she uttered phrases like "ICE out," but she remains determined not to let this silence her entirely.

Despite the warnings, Karol G is committed to representing her community with depth and sincerity. She stated, "I'm willing to say it… If I'm being honest with you, it's something that crosses the line of what I have to do to protect myself.
