NFL star Joe Burrow made a solo appearance at the Met Gala on Monday night, enjoying a night on the town without his rumored girlfriend, model Olivia Ponton. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, who is believed to be dating Ponton, attended the exclusive fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City alongside Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
Burrow's Met Gala Look
Burrow, who also attended last year's gala, sported a double-breasted smoking jacket in navy satin fabric. The jacket featured ornate braided toggle fastenings and sequined detailing on the lapels. In contrast, Jefferson, Burrow's former LSU teammate, opted for a more understated chic black overcoat designed by Who Decides War, complemented by a black tie with white detailing and a diamond brooch.
Olivia Ponton's Absence
Ponton, who has modeled for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, did not make the cut for the exclusive event co-hosted by Venus Williams, Beyonce, Lauren Sanchez, and Anna Wintour. Despite recent speculation about their relationship status, the couple has been seen together frequently, including at a party in Los Angeles last month and an NFL star's wedding two weeks prior.
Whirlwind Weekend with Ponton
Burrow's appearance at the Met Gala came after a busy weekend with Ponton. The pair attended the Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs on Friday, followed by a Kentucky Derby gala. They then traveled to Miami for the Formula 1 Grand Prix, where Burrow was spotted at the Raising Cane's Formula 1 party after Kimi Antonelli's victory. Ponton, who has been linked to Burrow since December 2024 when she reported a break-in at his Cincinnati mansion, was also seen mingling at the event.
Burrow's offseason antics, including a Las Vegas casino session with Jessica Alba and an Oscars afterparty with Alix Earle and Tate McRae, had led many to believe the couple had split. However, their recent public outings suggest otherwise.
