Jeremy Clarkson has suffered another health scare while filming the latest series of Clarkson's Farm, after ignoring doctors' orders to rest following heart surgery. The presenter was seen gasping for breath while attempting to fell a Christmas tree in the second episode of series five.
Despite being advised to take it easy, Clarkson was filmed lying flat on his stomach, hacking at the tree with a saw, before admitting defeat. He told the crew, "I shouldn't have done that," and later quipped that the "reaper will have to wait" upon returning to the farm after his surgery.
The new series marks the first time Clarkson and co-star Kaleb Cooper have met since the presenter's cardiac scare. Clarkson revealed to Cooper that it was "f***ing close," adding that doctors told him he was "days" away from a heart attack.
In a previous interview with Heart Breakfast, Clarkson said he was now "absolutely fine" and had lost weight thanks to "fat jabs." He described the upcoming series as "the most dramatic one of the shows we have done so far."
Clarkson's Farm series five premieres on Amazon Prime Video on June 3.
