Former adult film star Jenna Jameson, 52, has surprised fans with a dramatic weight loss transformation, sharing before-and-after photos on Instagram that show her body change over roughly a year.
Jameson, who became a prominent figure in the X-rated film industry during the 1990s and 2000s before publishing books and launching her own business, told followers she began losing weight after ending her keto diet.
Weight Loss Journey Details
Posting the images on Instagram, Jameson wrote: “Slow steady weight loss. These images are a little under a year apart.” She added: “To be quite honest, losing weight at 52 is a whole different beast. Keto stopped working for me and now I'm working through my insides to jumpstart my metabolism.”
The keto diet focuses on eating high-fat, moderate-protein, and low-carbohydrate foods, often including beef, chicken, eggs, full-fat cheese, and greens. Jameson also shared her personal weight loss goals on Instagram, revealing her current weight of 125lbs and aiming to lose another 10lbs.
Background and Career
Born in Las Vegas, Nevada in April 1974, Jameson rose to fame through her career in the adult film industry. She began performing at strip clubs in the early 1990s during high school.
In 2008, she announced she was stepping away from pornographic performances and has since become a born-again Christian, having previously converted from Judaism to Christianity.
Faith and Public Response
Speaking about the switch on Instagram, she wrote: "After decades of being known for my body and sin, getting baptized and helping others find Jesus too." Followers have praised her faith, with one fan writing: "Jesus loves you and left the 99 to bring home the one lost sheep," referencing a parable in which Jesus said: "There will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."
She later told the New York Post: "I am being loud and proud about my walk with Jesus Christ. Proclaiming my love for him is opening so many people’s eyes to the fact that 'they are not irredeemable.'"
