Made In Chelsea Star Hugo Taylor Undergoes Post-Breakup Cosmetic Treatment
Following his recent separation from wife Millie Mackintosh after seven years of marriage, Made In Chelsea personality Hugo Taylor has indulged in a post-breakup transformation. The 39-year-old former reality television star visited the prestigious Nova Clinic in London for a £3,000 'invisible facelift' procedure known as Endolift.
The Endolift Procedure: A Celebrity Favourite
The non-invasive treatment, which has gained popularity among celebrities including Baroness Karren Brady, uses a laser-emitting wire to tighten skin and stimulate collagen regeneration. According to clinic claims, the procedure boasts a 95 per cent success rate in skin tightening. Hugo specifically sought treatment to lift his upper cheeks and address sagging around the eye area.
Dr Maria Fario of Nova Clinic, who administered Hugo's treatment, explained: 'Endolift is a clinically proven treatment that works by delivering laser energy to the skin, heating tissue and stimulating collagen remodelling. This leads to immediate tightening and gradual collagen formation over time, resulting in a lifted, firmer appearance.'
Timing Follows Difficult Separation Announcement
Hugo's clinic visit occurred just one week after he and Millie, 36, publicly announced their separation following what sources describe as 'an incredibly difficult start to the year'. The couple, who share daughters Sienna, five, and Aurelia, four, had been married since June 2018 after first dating as teenagers on the E4 reality series.
A source close to the couple revealed: 'Millie and Hugo are currently going through a separation and have sadly decided to split. They have known each other for many years, and in recent weeks, have had serious conversations about their future, ultimately deciding it's better for them both to part ways.'
The source emphasized that their primary concern remains their children, stating: 'Their main priority remains their children and family life, and separating is not something they ever hoped would happen. At present, they are considering what living apart might look like and how they plan to navigate co-parenting their young children.'
Karren Brady's Experience with the Same Treatment
Baroness Karren Brady of Knightsbridge CBE underwent the identical Endolift procedure earlier in 2024 to address what she called her 'dreaded jowls' at London's Rakus Clinic. The businesswoman and television personality reported being 'delighted' with the results, noting minimal recovery time.
'I was home straight after the treatment, and went out for lunch the next day, no bruising and just slight swelling that went down really quickly,' Baroness Brady explained. 'The most unexpected part of the treatment was that it didn't hurt, it didn't take very long, there wasn't any downtime, and it gave the sort of result that you'd usually only get by going in to have proper surgery.'
How Endolift Technology Works
Dr Luke Simmonds, Aesthetic Doctor at Nova Aesthetic Clinic, provided further technical details about the procedure: 'We inject a local anaesthetic into the area of skin being treated, and most people report feeling nothing during the laser treatment itself, and it has much less downtime than the surgical alternative.'
The treatment involves inserting a laser fibre thinner than a human hair into the deep dermis, where laser energy heats the skin to stimulate collagen production without damaging the surface. Patients typically see initial improvements within four weeks, with full results developing over three to six months, and some continuing to improve for up to twelve months.
Dr Simmonds added: 'Of course, with any procedure like this, there is some minor swelling and flushing, but usually this is very tolerable and lasts around 48 hours. Patients can resume their daily activity immediately.'
Safety Considerations and Counterfeit Concerns
While Endolift is an FDA-approved procedure, medical professionals emphasize the importance of ensuring the original Endolift device is used. There have been reports of counterfeit devices branded similarly to Endolift that have caused severe medical complications.
The treatment represents what practitioners describe as 'the closest non-surgical alternative to a surgical face-lift and liposuction', offering skin tightening and contouring for areas including the jawline, chin, cheeks, nasolabial folds, neck, and even body areas like arms.
For Hugo Taylor, the £3,000 procedure marks a personal refresh following the emotional turmoil of his separation from Millie Mackintosh, with whom he had rekindled a relationship in 2016 after her divorce from rapper Professor Green. The couple welcomed their first daughter in 2020 and their second in 2021 before announcing their separation earlier this year.
