Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank has announced she is expecting her third child. The 52-year-old actress and her husband, businessman Philip Schneider, will welcome their baby later this year.
Ms Swank revealed the new baby is due in December and will be a younger sibling to the couple's three-year-old twins, a son and a daughter.
Instagram announcement
The actress shared a neon stick animation of her family on Instagram, showing her with a pregnant belly. She captioned the post: "A lot of people have been asking what project I’m doing next, this one releases in December."
Ms Swank and Mr Schneider married in 2018 after two years of dating. She was previously married to actor Chad Lowe for nine years until 2006. She was also engaged to professional tennis player turned financial adviser Ruben Torres, but they split in 2016.

Later-life motherhood
Last year, Hilary addressed the idea of becoming a mother later in life, noting that it was not something she planned but she embraced it in the end for various reasons. She said: "I would have had kids earlier, I’m not saying I actively waited until 47."
Hilary and Philip are already parents to three-year-old twins Aya and Ohm. Hilary announced on Easter Sunday 2023 that she had given birth to twins, posting on Instagram at the time: "It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. Happy Easter! Posting from pure Heaven."
