Helen George's Life After Call the Midwife: Split and ADHD Diagnosis
Helen George's Post-Midwife Life: Split and ADHD Diagnosis

Helen George, known for her role as Nurse Trixie Aylward in the BBC drama Call the Midwife since 2012, has been navigating significant personal changes since the show wrapped its 15th series. The actress reportedly ended her relationship with boyfriend Dan Innes and revealed she was diagnosed with ADHD three years ago.

Reported Split from Boyfriend

In February of last year, Helen George began a relationship with Dan Innes, who works at an estate agent marketing company. Innes, a father of two from a prior relationship, moved into George's home earlier this year. However, recent sightings showed Innes removing his belongings from the property while George walked her dog. A source told The Sun that the couple have gone their separate ways, citing that differences became apparent after a whirlwind romance. Reach has approached Helen George's representatives for comment.

Secret ADHD Diagnosis Revealed

In March, George disclosed for the first time that she has ADHD, revealing she was diagnosed three and a half years ago after the birth of her second child. Speaking on the podcast I'm ADHD! No You're Not!, she said, "I've spent my whole life covering it up." She described a conversation with a male friend who had ADHD as a pivotal moment: "He was describing females and women who have children, and them being diagnosed later in life. And he was telling me all this, and I suddenly went, 'Oh s**, just like me.' It's like the light bulb moment that I needed."

New Career Venture: Mystic Mates Podcast

George recently announced she will co-host a weekly podcast called Mystic Mates alongside close friend and fellow actor Yvette Robinson. The podcast debuts on 13 July and promises to be a space for funny, honest, and deeply personal conversations covering topics such as relationships, motherhood, grief, intuition, and spirituality. The synopsis notes that fascination with the mystic has never been more mainstream, with George commenting, "Mention tarot and everyone suddenly has a story." The show aims to welcome both believers and the curious.
