Katie Goodland, the wife of England and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, was by his side at the 70th Ballon d'Or Ceremony at the Palladium Theatre in London on October 26, 2026, where the world's best player will be named. Kane, 33, has had a standout year, leading England to third place at the FIFA World Cup and emerging as the frontrunner to win the Ballon d'Or 2026.
How they met
The couple first met when they were just four years old, having both attended Larkswood Primary School in Chingford. They grew up streets away from one another and became friends at an early age. They began dating at the age of 16 and became engaged in 2017 in the Bahamas, tying the knot two years later.
Kane has previously said that he feels lucky to have found love as a teenager and still be with her. "If I was single now and meeting people, you'd never know if they were with you for the right reasons," he told The Standard. "I'm lucky that I've got a childhood sweetheart. She always wanted to do her own thing. She went to university and worked hard. I have a great family, they keep me grounded and they've worked just as hard as me to get me where I am."
What does Katie do?
Alongside raising their four children – Ivy, Vivienne, Louis and Henry – Goodland works as a fitness coach and professional trainer. She first began working in the field after graduating from Middlesex University with a degree in Sports Science in 2014.
Since 2023, the family have been living in Munich, Germany, after Harry signed a four-year contract with Bayern Munich, worth an estimated £104m. Their new home is located in "Bavarian Hollywood" and boasts views of the River Isar.
