Fans of ITV's Emmerdale have been treated to a delightful glimpse into the real-life romance of two former stars, as actors Max Parker and Kris Mochrie shared a joyful photo from their lavish wedding day.
From On-Screen Brothers to Real-Life Partners
Max Parker and Kris Mochrie first met on the set of the popular Yorkshire-based soap in 2019. Parker played Luke Posner, while Mochrie portrayed his on-screen brother, Lee. Although Lee was killed off later that year, the actors' connection blossomed away from the cameras.
The pair confirmed their relationship in July 2020 and moved in together by the end of that year. Their romance took a significant step forward in January 2022 when Max proposed to a surprised Kris during a beach outing.
A Lavish Multi-Day Celebration
The couple tied the knot in August 2025 at the exclusive Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk. Choosing the luxurious Chapel Barn venue, they hosted a multi-day celebration reported to have cost around £100,000.
Ceremonies at the prestigious location can start from £65,000. Guests were treated to premium touches including £82-a-bottle Laurent-Perrier Cuvee Rose champagne and wedding favours of Tony's Chocolonely bars personalised with the initials 'KM'.
Fans Gush Over New Year Reflection
On Sunday, 4 January 2026, Kris Mochrie took to Instagram to reflect on the past year, posting a charismatic photo from the wedding. The image captured both men mid-air, jumping joyfully in their sharp wedding suits.
In his caption, Kris wrote: "Happy New Year! The last day of saying it before the world opens for business again tomorrow. What a year!!! The BEST moments of my life and some of the most testing for me and so many around us. Thank you for all the love and support. Jumping into 2026 and all that it holds."
The post was swiftly flooded with adoring comments from followers. One fan declared them a "gorgeous couple," while another praised the "what a photo." Others sent wishes for health and happiness in the new year.
Both actors have since left Emmerdale; Mochrie departed in 2019, and Parker's character, Luke, exited in 2021. Their off-screen love story, however, continues to captivate the soap's dedicated fanbase.
