Eamonn Holmes' girlfriend posts cryptic message amid reported split
Eamonn Holmes' girlfriend shares cryptic post amid reports

Eamonn Holmes' girlfriend Katie Alexander has shared a cryptic Instagram post about "knowing your worth" amid reports of relationship troubles. The relationship counsellor, 45, is believed to have moved out of Holmes' £1.3 million rented Surrey flat earlier this month in an "incredibly sad situation."

Meanwhile, Holmes' ex-wife Ruth Langsford, from whom he split in 2024, is thought to have put their divorce battle behind her and is caring for him in hospital, where he has been recovering since his stroke in April.

Cryptic Instagram post

Alexander, who began dating the GB News host in 2024 after they met online, shared a bikini selfie on her Instagram Stories this week with a caption about inner strength. She wrote: "There is a quiet kind of strength in becoming comfortable with who you are.

"No longer needing to prove, explain or seek validation – just choosing peace, protecting your energy and finding beauty in the life you're creating."

She concluded: "Softness is strength. Peace is luxury. And knowing your worth changes everything. Starting with yourself."

Ruth and Gabrielle unite

The post comes days after reports that Langsford has joined Holmes' first wife, Gabrielle Holmes, at his hospital bedside. The Loose Women presenter, 66, who has a son, Jack, 24, with Holmes, is understood to have bonded with Gabrielle over their "serious concerns" about his wellbeing.

"For a long time Eamonn and Ruth have just been completely and entirely at odds with one another," a source told The Mail. "They reached a point where they couldn't even communicate directly. Things became very difficult. Ruth was really upset about it all. It's astonishing that she's managed to put this behind her.

"The anger appears to have thawed and has been replaced by genuine concern. The thought of Ruth and Gabrielle being on good terms was just as unlikely. Yet here they all are clubbing together and rallying around with the kids to protect Eamonn."

The source added that Langsford and Gabrielle have "come through when Eamonn needed them most," and said their support has eased some of the "pressure" off Holmes' children.

Divorce and future at GB News

Holmes, 66, and Langsford are believed to be due in court again in November over the division of their joint £10 million fortune, though it is not known whether this will still go ahead, according to the publication.

It comes after reports that Alexander has left his flat, which he has been renting since his split from Langsford. The mother-of-three lives in West Yorkshire but has been splitting her time between there and the Surrey apartment, The Sun reported. It is unclear where Holmes will live when he leaves the hospital, according to the outlet.

"Katie is still very much together with Eamonn and in love, but she's moved out of the flat," a source said. "It's an incredibly sad situation — she loved it there and the time they spent together making it home. Katie has been Eamonn's rock and lifeline since he fell ill. She's willing him to get back to full fitness and get their lives back on track."

Holmes' future at GB News has faced doubt in light of his multiple health issues. The broadcaster had suffered a series of live mishaps on the breakfast show in the months before his stroke, including falling off his chair and reportedly falling asleep, although he denied this happened. He was hospitalised after he was reportedly found "slumped and out cold" at his home.

Holmes shared a message from his hospital bed in April, posting a photo of his two granddaughters with a handmade "Get well soom[sic]" card for him. He captioned the post: "As my beautiful granddaughters put it so well - I will do my best to get well SOON. Thank you for all of your many many good wishes, they give me strength."

The former This Morning presenter has endured numerous health problems in the past few years and recently revealed dealing with illness and mobility issues have been "horrendous." Holmes underwent a double hip replacement in 2016. Five years later, he suffered three slipped discs and a dislocated pelvis. The presenter later had spinal surgery, and his ongoing mobility issues mean he now often uses a walker or wheelchair.
