Former X Factor contestant Diana Vickers has revealed a truly surreal moment from her past—when Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio invited her to his house after a random encounter.
Speaking on the White Wine Question Time podcast, the singer and actress recounted the bizarre incident, which left her both stunned and amused.
An Unexpected Invitation
Vickers, who rose to fame on the 2008 series of The X Factor, explained that she was at a London hotel when DiCaprio approached her. "He just came up to me and said, 'Hey, do you want to come back to my house?'" she recalled.
At the time, Vickers was only 17 years old and still finding her footing in the entertainment industry. "I was so young and completely starstruck," she admitted. "But I also thought, 'This is so random—why is Leonardo DiCaprio asking me this?'"
A Polite Decline
Despite the A-lister's unexpected offer, Vickers decided against taking him up on it. "I just laughed and said no," she said. "Looking back, it’s such a weird story—but also kind of hilarious."
The singer, who later found success in the West End and with her music career, joked that she sometimes wonders what might have happened if she’d said yes. "Maybe I’d be living in Hollywood now," she quipped.
DiCaprio’s Reputation for Young Models
The anecdote comes amid long-standing rumours about DiCaprio’s dating preferences, with the actor frequently linked to much younger women. Vickers, however, insists her encounter was entirely innocent. "It wasn’t like that at all—it was just a strange, funny moment," she clarified.
