Delta Goodrem grateful for Strictly return after rib injury

Australian singer Delta Goodrem has said she is "grateful" to return to Strictly Come Dancing following a "frustrating" injury.

The 41-year-old, who is partnered with professional dancer Kai Widdrington, missed week four of the BBC dancing show after sustaining a fractured rib, but has confirmed she will take part in this Saturday's show.

Recovery Journey

In a post on Instagram, accompanied by clips of her in hospital, she said: "I filmed little moments over the past two weeks to remind myself that even on the frustrating days, there would be progress."

"I was gutted when the injury happened as I've been truly loving this experience so much," she added.

Return to the Ballroom

In Saturday's show she will perform a rumba with Widdrington to Celine Dion's It's All Coming Back To Me Now.

Week five of the current Strictly series will see all 12 remaining contestants return to the ballroom floor, with Dani Dyer dancing a salsa to Rosalia's Despecha alongside professional Nikita Kuzmin.

Actress Bethany Antonia, who narrowly avoided elimination last week after landing in the bottom two, will perform the Argentine tango with professional Nancy Xu to All The Things She Said by Harrison.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 6.30pm and Sunday at 7.10pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
