Tens of thousands of motorcyclists are preparing to take to the UK’s highways for a massive 300-mile tribute ride to honour the late, beloved Hairy Biker, Dave Myers.
Dubbed "The Last Ride Home," the national event is set to take place today (Saturday, June 20). Organisers are preparing for an extraordinary turnout to celebrate Myers' life, spread joy, and raise vital funds for charity.
The ride mirrors the phenomenal support seen in previous years, which drew 46,000 riders in 2024 and 36,000 in 2025.
Spreading Hope and Happiness
"The aim of Dave Day is to spread hope and happiness to all, regardless of who you are or where you're from, honouring and remembering Dave and all other lost loved ones," organisers stated ahead of the event. "We want to replace 'I'm having a great day', with 'I'm having a Dave Day!'"
Led by Dave’s long-time on-screen partner and best friend, Si King, the en-masse procession will trace a major 300-mile northbound vein through the heart of England.
Route and Timings
The convoy will start in London at the historic Ace Cafe on the North Circular Road, which warmly remembers the Hairy Bikers' first vibrant visit back in 2007. Then, the group will drive past a sequence of designated service stops to collect more riders.
Bikers joining the tribute can track the major milestone timings across the country below:
- 6AM: Riders arrive at Ace Cafe on the North Circular Road. The cafe will open its doors at 7am.
- 8AM: The convoy officially departs, traveling toward the M40.
- 8.30AM: Departure from Welcome Break Services in Oxford (M40, Junction 8a).
- 10.15AM: Departure from the National Motorcycle Museum on Coventry Road in Solihull.
- 12.15PM: Departure from Moto Services Knutsford (M6, between Junctions 18 and 19).
- 2.15PM: Departure from Moto Services Lancaster (M6 Northbound, between Junctions 32 and 33). For those joining the procession from further up the country, please note that companion schedules list Moto Services Burton-in-Kendal at 3pm as the final major form-up zone for riders joining from Scotland, the North, and the East.
- 3.30PM: The spectacular en-masse arrival of thousands of motorcycles at the finish line in Barrow-in-Furness Town Hall on Duke Street.
Charity and Community Support
While the day is centred around keeping Dave’s joyful legacy alive, it is also a massive opportunity to raise funds for two great causes.
All money raised from the event - including online donations via their official GoFundMe page and proceeds from the event's merchandise shop - will be split evenly between NSPCC Childline and The National Institute for Cancer Research.
To further support the drive, £3 from every single item sold at the official Dave Day Shop will go directly to these charities.
With road closures already announced to accommodate the staggering influx of motorbikes, the town of Barrow-in-Furness is ready to warmly welcome its hometown hero’s final, thunderous ride home.
