Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has teased what may happen next as she predicts Bethany Platt's betrayal of her mother, Sarah Platt, will be exposed in the long-running show.
Those who follow the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, know that Rusholme-born Tina's character is currently waiting to find out her fate after she admitted to killing abusive builder Theo Silverton earlier this year.
The confession came weeks after Theo's lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain on the night of her mum, Lisa Swain's, wedding to Carla Connor, which took place on April 23, and a murder investigation was launched.
Sarah's involvement revealed
Sarah's involvement was confirmed in flashback scenes, which aired in Corrie in June, as Sarah was revealed to be the one who dealt the blow that sent a drunk Theo tumbling off the scaffolding outside his flat and plummeting to the ground - before she called on her former flame, Gary Windass, for help.
Corrie fans later watched as Sarah confessed the truth to Todd, while Kit remained determined to pin Theo's murder on Gary, not realising that he had been covering for Sarah, or that was until she confessed all to her copper beau, DC Kit Green, just as he was trying to pop the question.
Despite Kit's attempts to help cover up her crime, Sarah was arrested on suspicion of killing Theo. She was later charged as the evidence stacked against her, and Sarah ended up admitting to the murder, telling DS Lisa Connor-Swain it was in self-defence.
Court battle ahead
This week, after months behind bars on remand, Sarah will get the chance to fight for her freedom as she tries to convince the jury that she didn't kill Theo in cold blood, and new spoilers for next week's Corrie have confirmed that Sarah will finally learn her fate.
But as well as learning whether she will spend her life behind bars, Tina has been speaking about the other revelation Sarah is yet to discover, as while she's been in prison, Bethany was seen sleeping with her former partner, Kit.
"I think her head's going to fall off if she finds out," Tina told Inside Soap. "I mean, at the moment, obviously, she really loves Kit. They were together for a little while, but I think that's a betrayal that's going to kill her. I think she's just going to feel so stupid and so blindsided by it by both of them. I'm not sure what's worse. I think she could always forgive Bethany because that's her child. I don't know if she can forgive Kit."
Impact on relationship with Bethany
When discussing the fact that if the truth does come out, it'll impact Sarah's relationship with Bethany, Tina added: "I honestly love Lucy [Fallon, who plays Bethany]. I love working her so much. We've got a shorthand now that's just so easy, so yeah that's hard. I'm assuming it will eventually come out."
While Corrie viewers will have to wait to find out Sarah's fate, Tina has recently been speaking about her two decades on the cobbles, and teased whether her future remains in Weatherfield. She told Bella magazine: "I am really happy here at Corrie. Do I want to do it forever? I don't know, but I am very grateful for a job I genuinely love."
