Coleen Nolan has said she is no longer ruling out a third marriage, having previously insisted she would not walk down the aisle again. The 61-year-old Loose Women panellist is in a new relationship with Ryan Brockbank, a lecturer at the Fashion Retail Academy who is 14 years her junior.
The couple first connected through Instagram, where Ryan sent Coleen a private message. Their romance developed after her appearance on Celebs Go Dating, where she did not find a romantic connection with any of her matches. Since making their relationship public, they have marked their commitment with matching tattoos, and Coleen has now spoken about whether marriage could be on the cards.
Marriage on Hold for Daughter's Wedding
Speaking on the At Home With Vanessa podcast, Coleen revealed that while the subject had been raised, she was not considering a wedding just yet.
"No, because my daughter is getting married next year and I don't want anything to overshadow that anyway," she shared.
Coleen shares daughter Ciara with her former husband Ray Fensome, to whom she was married from 2007 to 2018. She is also mother to sons Shane Richie Jr and Jack Roche, whom she shares with her first husband, actor Shane Richie.
Change of Heart on Remarriage
Despite previously ruling out another marriage following the breakdown of her two previous relationships, Coleen admitted that finding love again had changed her perspective.
"I said if I meet someone, I don't want to get married again. I never want to get married again, what's the point? Bla Bla bla and then you meet someone and you think, 'Oh maybe' and because the thing is I loved being married," she said.
She added: "I loved it but the problem is when it goes wrong it's awful so it's that bit, but then you meet someone and you think, 'Well maybe this is the one that won't go wrong'."
The presenter has also spoken candidly about the couple's 14-year age gap, previously admitting she had reservations about dating someone younger. However, she has since praised Ryan for making her feel secure in their relationship.
"He's just so calm and he's very reassuring and he's quite happy to just stay in the... I say in the background, I'm putting him right out there," she laughed. "And he's self sufficient which I love."
Matching Tattoos and Family Reaction
Coleen has also expressed admiration for Ryan's relationship with his ex-partner, with whom he shares a daughter, praising the way they co-parent.
The couple have offered further proof of their commitment through their matching body art, which Coleen previously unveiled on Loose Women. The mother-of-three showed off a three-word tattoo on her right arm reading 'UNTIL THE END', alongside an 'R' and a love heart inked on her chest in tribute to Ryan.
However, her new inkings prompted some questions from her children when she returned home, as Coleen recalled their reaction and explained why she was determined to embrace this chapter of her life on her own terms.
"My kids when I went home went 'what is going on?' Do you know, I'm in my 60s now, there's more life behind me than in front and I'm going to do exactly [what I want]. I've spent my whole life working, bringing up kids like most people. All my kids are parents themselves and moving on. I'm going to live my life."
