Claudia Winkleman appears virtually unrecognisable in a resurfaced Channel 4 clip from 2016, prompting fans to compare her to Anne Hathaway and comment on her noticeably paler complexion.
The Traitors host, now 54, has built her reputation on a trademark thick fringe, deep orange fake tan, glossy locks and Highland Gothic wardrobe choices. However, in an old appearance on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, she looked like an entirely different person, with a different hairstyle and far lighter skin tone.
Fans React to the Resurfaced Footage
Viewers were quick to share their surprise in the comments. One person said: "When a fringe didn't rule her career." Another wrote: "Love Claudia, she's so special. I wish her hands were the same colour as her face, though what's going on there?"
A third commented: "I love Claudia, she'd be an absolute riot to hang out with." A fourth noticed: "OMG! Is that Claudia? A lot less orange back then." A fifth joked: "Oh my gosh, she's got eyebrows," referring to how her fringe usually hides them.
Heating Confession on Air
During the 2016 clip, Claudia confessed on air that her home was without heating, though not by choice. She admitted she simply could not work out how to operate the system, saying she had no idea what the buttons did.
Fellow panellist Sean Lock was quick to pull her up on it, and Claudia laughed, "How do you know that?!" as she grabbed onto his arm.
Fake Tan Dedication
Claudia has openly joked that she is "addicted" to fake tan and has no plans to ditch it as part of her signature style. While filming The Traitors at a remote castle, she famously ran out of her usual tan and resorted to rubbing gravy granules on her face.
