Eurocamp to Offer Winter Sun Holidays in Spain for First Time
Eurocamp Winter Sun Holidays in Spain From 2026

Eurocamp has announced it will keep three of its Spanish holiday parks open through the winter for the first time, starting in 2026. The move opens up the possibility of Christmas and February half-term breaks in Spain for British holidaymakers, with prices from £452 per party during the quieter seasons.

Three Spanish Parks to Stay Open

While Eurocamp sites typically close for the winter, three locations will remain open during the colder months: Alannia Costa Blanca and Alannia Guardamar in Costa Blanca, which is home to Benidorm, and Alannia Els Prats in Costa Dorada, home to Salou.

This marks the first time that Brits can book Eurocamp breaks in Spain over Christmas or the February half-term. Eurocamp already operates sites in the French Alps during the ski season, as well as its Paris-Est location, which is popular with visitors to the French capital's Christmas markets.

Other Winter Park Options

Eurocamp is not the only brand to offer holiday parks during the winter months. Center Parcs has a number of sites in France, Belgium and the Netherlands, including one park near Disneyland Paris.

For those seeking winter sun without travelling to the Caribbean, Spain and its islands can offer a compromise. According to research from travel firm Holidu, Spain has 8 of Europe's 10 sunniest cities. Cities in southern Spain such as Cordoba or Malaga average 19C in November, while Barcelona maintains a balmy 15C, though it cools in the evenings.

Canary Islands Warmth

The Canary Islands are known for year-round sunshine, with temperatures reaching up to 23C as late as early December. While the sea may not be warm enough for swimming, the conditions remain pleasant for outdoor activities such as walking along promenades or dining al fresco, with cooler mornings suitable for hikes in volcanic landscapes.
