Christys Slams Sussexes Over Thomas Markle Scandal Hypocrisy
Christys Slams Sussexes Over Markle Scandal

GB News presenter Patrick Christys has criticised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for publicly attacking the Royal Family while remaining silent on the turmoil within Meghan Markle's own family.

Speaking on the programme Off the Record, Christys addressed the child abuse allegations facing Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, and questioned the couple's stance.

Christys Questions Sussexes' Silence

"I do find it slightly perplexing that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were absolutely content to pour an absolute tubload over the Royal Family, seemingly the whole time sitting there, knowing that her family is an absolute hot mess," Christys said.

He described the family as "ridiculous," referencing a disgruntled ex-wife who allegedly penned a letter with revelations about Thomas Markle Snr, and Thomas Markle Jr, who reportedly found a box of material and was pictured next to it with a photographer.

"Can you imagine the conversation with a photographer there? 'Alright, Thomas Michael Jr., just sit next to your dad's box of child porn, please', 'Yeah, absolutely. How much will you pay me for this?' What a ridiculous family that is," he remarked.

Family Chaos and Police Handling

Christys also noted Meghan's half-sister Samantha Markle coming out in support of her father, who has called the allegations "poisonous lies."

He referenced the Metropolitan Police reportedly being handed a letter containing the allegations in 2019 and losing it, not passing it on to the FBI, and relying on Meghan for a copy.

Christys described the circumstances as "deeply strange," adding, "The family is weird as all hell. And you know, right at the top of that, then you've got Meghan Markle who's married to Prince Harry."

Background of the Allegations

Thomas Markle Snr was accused of possessing child sex abuse images at his home in the Philippines. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a letter accusing him of "alleged offending outside the UK" was given to Meghan in 2019.

Thomas Markle has strongly denied the allegations. This week, it was reported that he was admitted to a specialist dementia care facility in Florida, which could hinder the FBI's attempts to interview him.
