Cardi B and Stefon Diggs Reunite After Breakup, Source Says 'Second Chance'
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs Reunite After Breakup

Days after Cardi B and Stefon Diggs were seen displaying public affection at a Mother's Day event, insiders have now disclosed details about their surprising reunion. The power couple, who share a child together, were inseparable in Washington DC on Saturday as they attended an event for the NFL star's Diggs Deep Foundation.

They had parted ways around February's Super Bowl – the rapper had been supporting her partner in the buildup to the game but subsequently deleted references to him on social media and unfollowed the former New England Patriots wide receiver shortly after his team's defeat. This sparked widespread speculation that the couple had ended their relationship, but on Saturday, that narrative seemed to shift when they appeared arm-in-arm at the charity event.

Diggs was filmed kissing Cardi on the cheek at the event in front of guests, while she also playfully swung her leg around him for the cameras. A source has since told Page Six: 'She is giving him a second chance but is not fully committing to him.' They added that the rapper is 'slowly letting' Diggs 'back in'.

Cardi B is willing to give Stefon Diggs 'another shot' after the couple split earlier this year. The couple have a child together from their initial romance before their split back in February. 'They've been in closer contact lately. Things are no longer contentious,' the insider added. 'She still has love for Stefon, which makes it difficult to walk away.'

Around the time of their supposed break-up, an insider told People that she had trust issues concerning Diggs. Telling the publication, the insider said: 'Things were getting too heated and complicated. Cardi is very no-nonsense. The second she felt that she couldn't trust him, she pulled back to focus on her kids, her music and tour. They co-parent and the door is not completely closed. They might reconnect in the future.'

For Diggs, the latest development comes at the end of a whirlwind week with the NFL star being cleared in court of assaulting his personal chef after an incident at his home in Massachusetts last December. Jamila Adams, a former live-in personal chef, testified that Diggs slapped and choked her during an argument. He had pleaded not guilty to a felony strangulation charge and a misdemeanor assault and battery charge. The jury deliberated for less than two hours before clearing Diggs of all charges.

'The evidence has shown what we've maintained from day one: Mr. Diggs was wrongly accused, and this case represents exactly the kind of opportunistic targeting that players can face the moment they step off the field,' Diggs' attorney, Mitch Schuster, said in a statement.

Diggs, who is now a free agent, could still face discipline from the NFL, with spokesman Brian McCarthy saying: 'We have been monitoring all developments in the matter which remains under review of the personal conduct policy.' The wide receiver was released by the Patriots in March despite an impressive season in New England leading up to the Super Bowl. He led the team with 85 receptions and 1,013 yards receiving with four touchdowns. However, much like the rest of his team, he had a day to forget at the Super Bowl in San Francisco, recording just three receptions for 37 yards as the Patriots lost 29-13 to the Seattle Seahawks. The Patriots also saved cap space by releasing him. Diggs signed a three-year $69 million deal in March 2025, with $26 million guaranteed. He was due to make $20.6 million this season. Attention on the upcoming 2026 campaign will inevitably ramp up later this week for both Diggs and teams across the league when the full schedule drops on Thursday.
