Brooklyn Beckham has decided to spend the Christmas holidays with his wife Nicola Peltz's family, delivering a pointed snub to his parents David and Victoria Beckham amid their ongoing and very public family estrangement.
Christmas Plans Confirm Family Divide
The 26-year-old son of the football icon and fashion designer will be in Miami, Florida with Nicola's billionaire parents, Nelson and Claudia Peltz, who are reportedly "excited" to host the couple. This decision comes despite recent attempts by his father David and brother Cruz to extend an olive branch in the run-up to the festive season.
Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, were pictured earlier this week at her family's incredible Palm Beach mansion, where the hot sauce entrepreneur posed for photos with her brother Bradley. His choice is said to be a significant blow to David, 50, and Victoria, 51, who are feeling his absence "harder than ever" as Christmas approaches.
Failed Reconciliation Attempts
In recent weeks, David Beckham appeared to make a public gesture towards reconciliation. The former England captain shared a nostalgic throwback photo on social media featuring himself with Brooklyn and his younger brothers, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20. Cruz also posted a sweet snap of the brothers together on a beach in Brazil.
However, these efforts seem to have been in vain. The rift, which became fully apparent when Brooklyn and Nicola skipped all of David's 50th birthday celebrations in May, was further emphasised by Brooklyn's failure to acknowledge his father's knighthood in November.
Grandparents Left Heartbroken
The situation is taking a particularly heavy toll on the family's elders. Victoria Beckham's mother, Jackie Adams, shared a festive image from her Hertfordshire home showing twelve stockings hung on the fireplace—one for each grandchild. A stocking for Brooklyn was placed in pride of position, a symbol of hope that he might yet return.
Both Jackie and David's mother, Sandra, are said to be "extremely sad" and "devastated" they won't see their grandson this Christmas. An insider revealed, "They're not getting any younger and the cold truth of it all is that nobody knows when they will see Brooklyn next."
David and Victoria will spend part of the festive period in their new £60 million Miami waterfront home—the same property where they were joined by Brooklyn and Nicola last Christmas for what appeared to be a joyful celebration.
A Festive Season of Strain
Victoria Beckham is reportedly working hard to maintain a brave face for the sake of her husband and their 14-year-old daughter, Harper. A source close to the family stated, "It's been a year since they last all saw each other and it's something she will never come to terms with."
The ongoing feud has even prompted concern from fans, with one urging Brooklyn during a recent cookery video: "Go and see your parents, you will regret it later in life." For now, however, the Beckhams' eldest son remains with his in-laws, leaving his biological family to navigate a Christmas marked by his conspicuous absence.
