TOWIE star Bobby Norris has revealed he was almost left stranded in Turkey after a series of facial surgeries, as border control didn't think his passport photo was him.
Border Control Confusion at Istanbul Airport
Bobby has recently been left looking bruised and swollen after a surgery at the Serene Cosmetic clinic in Istanbul. His face was so altered that airport officials thought he was using a fake passport.
Taking to TikTok, Bobby explained: "I had an absolute nightmare, honestly. Thank God a few people on the plane knew who I was, considering I’m in and out of Turkey like a timeshare salesman."
He added: "I got there and had a few bits and bobs done. It was getting to the stage where I knew the passport was looking a bit different to my face, bearing in mind every three of four weeks I have to update my Apple photo because my phone don’t even recognise me."
Fans Vouch for Bobby
Bobby described the moment at passport control: "The woman laughed at Istanbul airport when I handed my passport over – she laughed and called her mates over, and they had to call their supervisor over."
He said that 200 people had to vouch for him: "They weren’t gonna let me in, and people on the flight were going, ‘No, that’s Bobby. That’s Bobby Norris,’ and I thought, ‘two hundred people ain’t lying here to back him up.’ So I’ve had to change it before it’s even expired, but it’s a different nose, teeth. I can’t keep changing it, it’s costing me a fortune in passports."
Surgery History and Warning
Bobby has had work done on his cheeks, eyelids, nose, teeth and chin so far. He has previously said that his repeated surgeries are being done to fix damage that was caused by fillers.
"I had no option but to get a facelift as I had overstretched my face from fillers," he said on This Morning earlier this year. "I was really abusing fillers and for a ten year window I was going every 12 weeks. I removed all my fillers so I had to have a facelift… I’m almost correcting my stupidity with the facelift."
In a conversation with the Mirror, he warned fans about following in his footsteps: "I can't give too much advice because I'm not a doctor, but I'd say don't go so stupid with it. I would go every three months and ask for more, more, more. Listen to the doctor more than I did."
After sharing his story, Bobby's fans took to the comments to share how funny they thought he was. "I love it Bobby, you make my day, your honesty about yourself is so funny, bobby your the best," said one fan. Another wrote: "You never fail to make me laugh." A third added: "My favourite Bobby I just love you I can’t stop laughing."
