Bob Dylan will mark seven decades of UK performances with a new tour later this year. The music legend, now 85, has announced a run of shows in November and December visiting Bournemouth, Birmingham, Sheffield, Blackpool, and five nights at London's Royal Festival Hall.
Dylan's long history with the UK
Dylan's love affair with the UK goes back 62 years when he first played live at The King & Queen pub in Fitzrovia, London during a visit in 1962. 2026 is fast becoming the year of the octogenarian with Dylan's tour coming hot on the heels of new albums by Sir Paul McCartney (84) and The Rolling Stones (Mick Jagger 82).
Dylan's recent Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour - named for his surprise 2020 album - was met with great acclaim across the world.
Tour dates and ticket information
The new concerts kick off at Bournemouth's BIC Windsor Hall on November 25 and conclude at the Royal Festival Hall London on December 8. Tickets go on general sale at 10am Wednesday July 22.
Dylan on ageing
While he shows no signs of slowing down, Bob Dylan recently opened up about the pros and cons of ageing. In an op-ed piece to the New York Times he wrote on the subject: "The old fire in your heart still tells you to do this and that, but your body says we already did it. Also, nothing surprises you. It sounds like a luxury but it's not, and also you've run out of illusions."
Recent releases and no phones policy
Dylan's most recent official release was 2025's The Bootleg Series Vol. 18: Through The Open Window, 1956–1963, but fans will be braced for more as he has a habit of issuing surprise releases. And fans should also be warned not to show their mobile phones at his gigs, as he tends to enforce a strict no phones policy.
