Rachel Frederickson, the winner of The Biggest Loser season 15, has been spotted in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, 11 years after her victory. Now 35, she was seen wearing a blue zip-up sweatshirt, capri leggings, black sneakers and a black crossbody bag, with curly hair and silver jewellery. She attended church and a cafe during the outing. Frederickson lives nearby in a one-million-dollar home.
Frederickson started the show at 260 pounds and lost 155 pounds to weigh 105 pounds, a 60 percent reduction. Despite winning the $250,000 prize, she faced criticism for losing too much weight. She defended her transformation, telling Today: 'It was absolutely healthy weight loss. I dieted and exercised and did it healthy the whole way.'
After the show, Frederickson maintained her weight by attending SoulCycle six times a week. She now works as a Customer Insights and Analytics Manager at Land O'Lakes. The show has recently faced backlash following the Netflix documentary Fit for TV: The Reality Behind the Biggest Loser, which examined extreme weight loss methods.
The documentary alleged contestants consumed only 800 calories per day and exercised eight hours daily. Season eight winner Danny Cahill told the U.S. Sun that caffeine pills were made available to participants. He said: 'I know that they were made available, and they were supposed to be like a strong cup of coffee or something, like 200 milligrams of caffeine.' Cahill took them for two days but quit due to feeling jittery.
The Biggest Loser aired from 2004 to 2020, with a four-year hiatus between 2016 and 2020, and returned briefly for one season in 2020. The show challenged contestants to lose the most weight over 30 weeks to win.
