Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly sent a legal letter to his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, instructing them to only contact him through lawyers. The move marks an escalation in the family feud, which has been ongoing for several years.
According to sources, the 26-year-old aspiring chef made the decision due to mental health concerns. 'It had been leading to issues with his mental health…it was to protect himself,' a source told the Mirror. Brooklyn is said to prefer any reconciliation to be handled privately, away from social media.
The rift deepened at the end of 2025 when Brooklyn blocked his family on Instagram after Victoria liked one of his posts. A source said she had no intention to cause upset, but Brooklyn's decision to block her, David, and his brothers Cruz and Romeo has left them hurt.
Despite attempts by David to extend an olive branch, including an Instagram story with the caption 'I love you all so much', Brooklyn rejected the gesture. The legal notice now requires all communication to go through lawyers, with a source telling the Mail: 'David was told to speak to them via Schillings.'
Brooklyn remains in contact with his grandparents, but the feud is believed to stem from tensions around his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz, when reports suggested Nicola refused to wear a Victoria Beckham design. Brooklyn has pushed back against claims he is under his wife's control.
David Beckham has achieved several milestones without his son present, including his 50th birthday and knighthood. He is also set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but questions remain over Brooklyn's attendance.
