The Baggs family were firm favourites on Gogglebox before their shock exit, but what have the clan been up to since? Consisting of mum Lisa, dad Terry, and brothers Joe and George, the foursome from Essex joined the Channel 4 show during series 16 in 2020. They quickly became a hit with fans, but after a two-year stint, the family announced they would leave in 2022.
Joe Baggs' TV Fame
Following his exit, Joe Baggs has found major fame on social media and made several TV appearances, including presenting gigs on ITV's Lorraine and This Morning. He has used his Gogglebox platform to amass a huge following on TikTok, with 2.2 million followers and 203.9 million likes, leading to brand deals with Netflix, Amazon, Spotify, Burger King, and Fanta. He also has 386k Instagram followers. Earlier this year, Joe fronted a new Britain's Got Talent spin-off show, saying: "I've been watching Britain's Got Talent with my family for as long as I can remember, so it's a real 'pinch me' moment to be joining as the official digital presenter this series."
George Baggs Slapped with Ban
Joe's brother George also boasts an impressive online following, with 447k Instagram followers and 1.7 million on TikTok. Their content is family-oriented, with their parents regularly appearing. The family launched a podcast, Not My Bagg, in 2023 featuring Joe, George, and Lisa, with guests like Kerry Katona, Coleen Nolan, and Melanie C. However, in 2023, George, then 19, was found to have broken advertising rules by promoting vapes while underage in a TikTok video. The legal age to promote vapes is 25, and promoting unlicensed nicotine e-cigarettes is banned. George was banned from posting the clip again after an investigation by the Advertising Standards Authority and warned not to use under-25s in e-cigarette ads.
Mum Lisa's Heartbreak
This week, matriarch Lisa paid tribute to the family dog Dolly on the two-year anniversary of its death. Alongside photos, she wrote: "2 yrs ago today having to let Dolly go. Was the worst day of my life. My heart still aches for her and I miss her more now than ever. I still love you so much my beautiful baby girl..my Dolly - Molly - Moo My everything." Son George shared his sadness, commenting: "Our Dolly," with heart emojis. Fans sent love, with one writing: "Thinking of you. Sending so much love. Hope you're resting easy sweet girl."
